Feeding the Centre and equipping children with sustainable farming knowledge.
At BOEC, agriculture is both a life skill and a survival tool. Children and youth are taught how to grow crops such as beans, maize, and potatoes, which help feed the Centre and their families. This hands-on learning equips them with practical knowledge for self-sustainability and a better future.
The Agriculture Program provides participants with direct experience in planting, tending, and harvesting crops. Beyond food production, this program instills responsibility, teamwork, and an appreciation for the environment. By learning sustainable farming techniques, children not only contribute to the Centre’s needs but also gain skills they can use throughout their lives.
Through consistent guidance and mentorship, children and youth develop confidence in managing crops, understanding seasonal cycles, and applying environmentally friendly farming practices. This program nurtures self-reliance and instills the value of hard work in every participant.
Through agriculture, children learn responsibility, teamwork, and the value of hard work, preparing them for a future of self-sufficiency and meaningful contribution to their communities.
